Week 1

1. My devotion

Theme verse:

James 4:8 (NLT)

Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

Prayer Themes:

B. Create a deep hunger in me for you O Lord: Psalm 42:1-5

C. Reveal yourself to me Lord:  personalize Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:17-20

2. His Calling On My Life

Theme verse: Galatians 6:4-5 (MSG)

‘Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink   yourself into that. Don't be impressed with yourself. Don't compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.’

Prayer Themes:

B. I am open to correction and change:  Proverbs 6:23

C. Enlarge my vision O Lord: Isaiah 54:2, 1Chr 4:10

D. Open my eyes to what you have prepared for me in this season of great grace: 1 Kings 19:18, Matthew 14:19-21

E. I take account of what the Lord has put in my hands: Matthew 25:14-30

F. As I wait on the Lord (quietly praying about the gifts I recognize he has put in my hands and listening to him), I write down the key priorities and objectives I sense I should focus on this year: Habakkuk 2:1-3

G. I prophesy over my goals: Mark 11:23, 2Corinthians 4:13


Week 2:

3.  Our Family

Theme verse: Psalm 78:2-4 (NKJV): ‘I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old, which we have heard and known, And our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.’

A. Lord we need your help and presence in our lives: Exodus 33:15

B. Lord I dedicate my family to you: Joshua 24:15 [Call them by name. Place a covering over each member of your family, break generational curses and evil affiliations from previous generations. Break any covenants made in your bloodline. Stand against generational curses.]

C. Give us a vision as parents for our families: Proverbs 29:18

D.   Reveal your purpose for our children’s lives to us that we may nurture them in your way: ‘Train up a child in the way that he should go [in keeping with his individual gift or bent]; and when he grows up he will not depart from it’ Proverbs 22:6 Amplified.

E.   We come against any form of disunity in our home and extended family: Psalm 133

F.   You are our healer and protector O Lord:  Exodus 23:25, Psalm 91

4.  Our church 

Theme Verse: Exodus 26:30 (NLT)  'Set up this Tabernacle according to the pattern you were shown on the mountain.'

A. Lord, open our eyes to build by revelation: 1Chronicles 12:32, Matthew 9:17

B. Lord give us the grace to be one: John 17:20-23

C. We ask for true fruitfulness:  John 15:4, John 17:3

D. We desire to be a place of the Word and the Spirit - a wellspring of life: 1Cor 2:4-5, John 6:63

E. Lord establish us in a location of your choice: 2Samuel 7:10

F. Lord help us build generationally: Psalm 78:2-4

G. Lord we pray for those who lead us: Acts 20:28, Colossians 4:17

H. We pray for those we lead: 1Cor 15:58, Hebrews 13:17

Week 3

5.  Our Nation

Theme Verse: Isaiah 62:6-7 (NKJV - Insertion mine) ‘I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem [NIGERIA]; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem [NIGERIA] a praise in the earth.’

A. We repent on behalf of our nation  Daniel 9:3-19 

B. We repent for our evil words against our nation. Mat 12:37, Numbers 14:27-29

C.   We repent of short term-ism. We seek not just a good country but a godly one Mat 6:25-33

D.   We declare the LORD as the head of our nation. We do not follow the pattern of other nations. 1 Sam 8:4-8

E.    We pray for our oneness inspite of our variety of languages. We celebrate our unity in the midst of diversity. Acts 2:6-9, John 17:21

F.  We stand to build the nation we see as Nigerians. We do not send others to do what we are not prepared to do ourselves. Nehemiah 2:17

G. We confront the enemy of our nation. We embrace personal sacrifice to see our nation change. Hebrews 10:5-7, 1Pet 4:10

H. We speak words of life over our nation. Eph 4:29, Col 4:6

I. Nigeria will fulfill her destiny on my watch!  2Chr 7:14, Is 42:22

J.   I get my PVC and vote wisely in 2019  Eph 5:15, 1Chr 12:32, James 3:17


6.  Our Community

Isaiah 58:6 (NKJV) "Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke?

A. I allow the Holy Spirit to show me someone this week that I can release from satanic captivity through my intercessory prayers. Luke 4:18, Isaiah 10:27

B.   I put money aside, clothes, food and other good Items I can give in the benevolence offering on Sunday at High Life Church Isaiah 58: 6-7

C.  I walk in the blessings of God promised upon those who fast in the way that honors God.  Isaiah 58:8-12
