Daniel Fast 2017 Meditations and Confessions

Day 1:  Prayer of Thanksgiving, faith and dedication of the fasting exercise to God

Hebrews 11:6 (MSG) ‘It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.'

Jeremiah 29:13 (MSG) 'When you come looking for me, you'll find me. Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I'll make sure you won't be disappointed.'

Isaiah 58:8 'Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.'

Prayer and Confession:

Father, I thank you for your goodness towards me in 2016. I recall what you did for me…[pause to meditate, remember and express gratitude]. I know by experience that you are a good God. I thank you because though times may change, you remain the same. I rejoice to see this day. I thank you for 2017 for I will experience more of your goodness and grace.

Father, I dedicate the next 21 days to seek your face. As I fast, I thank you because I believe I receive my heart's desire for this fast: I want to know you more my God, I want more of you! This is the day for your glory to be  revealed through your body, the church. Show me your glory O God!  Grant me the ability to see and hear what you are doing in my life and in the earth by your Spirit. Show me the place you have called me to 'occupy' (take charge of) in your power and wisdom this year to reveal heaven on earth as your ambassador.

You care enough to respond to me as I seek you. You will ensure that I will not be disappointed as I get serious about finding you. I will walk in your glory in 2017. Thank you Jesus!

Day 2: I am on a Mission from God!

Ephesians 1:4 ‘Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.’

Acts 17:26 ‘And He has made from one blood every nation of the earth to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings’

Hebrews 12:1 ‘…Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us’

Prayer and Confession

Before the foundation of the world, You knew me and chose me. You pre-appointed the time in which I would live in order to fulfil your plan. You have set a race for me to run and a purpose to fulfil  for your glory.

Holy Father, in a bid to meet temporal needs help me not to miss your eternal plan for me. I quiet my soul before you and calm my heart from distraction. As I wait on you O God, let the breath of your Spirit fill my heart and give life to your vision in me. Remind me of your instructions that I have forgotten and your visions that have grown dim.

Holy Spirit Come!

Day 3: This is My Day!

Jeremiah 1:9-10 ‘Then the Lord put forth his hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: ‘Behold I have put my words in your mouth. See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, and to build and to plant.’

John 4:35  “Do not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!’”

Jeremiah 1:11  ‘Moreover the word of the Lord came to me saying ‘Jeremiah, what do you see?’ And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” Then the Lord said to me “You have seen well for I am ready to perform My word.”

Prayer and Confession

Open my eyes O Lord to see where you have set me. Show me where I have allowed my past failures, successes and associations to frame the vision I see of who I am and my place in your plan.

Show me where I have used my words to push forward a harvest that is meant for now. Open my eyes to see the white fields of opportunity you have prepared for me in 2017.

I speak new words from the visions you put in my heart. I no longer allow my speaking to limit my seeing. Your word in me creates new pictures and the pictures create new words. I see possibilities all around me because I see my life through your eyes. I see your possibilities in my relationships, I see your possibilities in my nation, I see your possibilities in my children because I see through your eyes.  I see well. I speak well.

I do not push to the future by my words that which is ordained for now.  I welcome your possibilities in 2017. This is my day!

Day 4: I tap into wells of grace in 2017

Judges 6:12 “And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him, ‘The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valour!’”

Hebrews 11:39-40 ‘And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us’

Genesis 26:18-22 ‘And Isaac dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham. He called them by the names his father called them…So he called its name Rehoboth, because he said ‘for now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.’"

Prayer and Confession

I welcome you angels into my life that have been assigned to awaken me to an ancestral calling. I am re-digging wells of grace that have been established by those that have gone before me. I am standing on the shoulders of those that have gone before, with a mandate to finish what they started. Therefore I go farther and quicker for I am entering into fruit of the labourers that have gone before me. I am connected to the labour of the cloud of faith witnesses and I too run my faith race.

Day 5: I live and build generationally

Isaiah 59:21 “As for Me,” says the Lord, “this is My covenant with them; My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, not from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the Lord, “from this time and forevermore”

Psalm 78:2-4 “I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old, Which we have heard and know, and our fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children. Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.”

Hebrews 11:21 ‘By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on top of his staff.’

Prayer and Confession:

I build generationally. As my heart expands to embrace God’s vision for my life, I see that it is clearly a generational vision. As I stand on the shoulders and the grace of those that have gone before, the next generation will stand on my shoulders and God’s manifested grace in my life. My ceiling will be their floor. I therefore build into my children and those of the next generation, the graces of God he has equipped me to demonstrate. I intentionally invest the values of the Kingdom and my godly heritage into the next generation around me. The work that God has given me cannot be completed without them. As I lay the right foundation for them, their harvest becomes part of my everlasting inheritance.

Day 6: The work of my vision is established

John 4:37-38 NKJV
For in this the saying is true: "'One sows and another reaps.' I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors."

Amos 9:13,15 NKJV
"Behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, "When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it... I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up from the land I have given them," Says the LORD your God.

Isaiah 60:22 NKJV
'A little one shall become a thousand, And a small one a strong nation. I, the LORD, will hasten it in its time'

Prayer and Confession:

There is a hastening in my life through his grace. As I submit to the processing of the Lord, He opens me up into a wide place. The Lord makes room for me. He has qualified me for increase. The work of my hands will be established and will serve the next generation. I do not undervalue the grace in my hands. This little one shall have the impact of a thousand and this small one shall become a nation.

Day 7: I have the DNA of Christ!

1 Peter 1:23 AMP
You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal origin (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God.

1 John 3:9 AMP
No one born (begotten) of God deliberately, knowingly, and habitually practices sin, for God's nature abides in him His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God.

Romans 8:29 AMP
For those whom He foreknew of whom He was aware and loved beforehand, He also destined from the beginning foreordaining them to be molded into the image of His Son and share inwardly His likeness, that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.

Prayer and Confession:

I was born again from an incorruptible source. I was inseminated by the Father with the DNA of Jesus. Therefore I have the divine nature. This divine seed is destined to grow up into Christ. Becoming exactly like Christ in all my expression is my destiny and the purpose for my creation. I share inwardly the exact likeness of Christ therefore outwardly I fully express His nature.

Day 8: I Abide in Christ

John 15:5 AMP I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me cut off from vital union with Me you can do nothing.

John 17:21 NKJV
That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

John 15:16 NKJV
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

Prayer and Confession:

I am in Christ and He is in me. We are both in union with the Father. As a branch naturally produces fruit as it draws nutrients from it's union with the vine, my fruitfulness is the result of drawing life from my union with Christ. The life of Christ flows into my soul as I fellowship with Him through meditating His Word, beholding his face in worship, and acknowledging every good thing that I have through my union with Him. The seed of Christ grows daily in me and bears fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I have been chosen and appointed to bear fruit and I bear much fruit through union with Him.

Day 9: I Walk in Love

Ephesians 5:1-2  "Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma."

Matthew 5:44-45 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes the sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."

1John 3:14 "We know we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death."

Prayer and Confession:

Love is my nature. I imitate my Father because I am just like Him. I therefore desire for others to do well regardless of their response to me. Love permeates my thoughts, my words and actions. I do not react to evil with evil; I overcome evil with good. I am the light of the world and therefore darkness has no part in me.

Day 10:  My Way - The Love Way

Meditation: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

'I am patient and kind

I am not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.

I do not demand my own way, I am not irritable and I keep no record of being wronged

I do not rejoice about injustice, but rejoice whenever the truth wins out.

I never give up, never lose faith, I'm always hopeful and endure every circumstance.'

This is the nature of my Father. This is my nature.

Day 11: I walk in goodness

Ephesians 2:10 NLT
For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Ephesians 5:8-10 NLT
For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. Carefully determine what pleases the Lord.

Hebrews 13:20-21 NLT
Now may the God of peace...equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.

Prayer and Confession:

I am God's masterpiece in Christ. He made me to do good things. I walk in moral excellence as I draw closer to him everyday and become more and more like Him. The very substance of my being and expression of my nature results in goodness. My character and behavior are being built up to wholly please Him. The Lord looks at me and says that I am good.

Day 12: I walk in exceeding joy

John 15:10-11 NKJV
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

3 John 1:4 NKJV
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

Jude 1:24 NKJV
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

Prayer and Confession:

Joy flows from goodness. Walking with a clean heart brings joy into my life. Doing the right thing pleases God and brings joy into my life. Walking in truth, being blameless before God and keeping his commandments, bring exceeding joy into my heart. I live a joyful life irrespective of circumstances because I please the Father.

Day 13: I exhibit the kindness and gentleness of my Father

Ephesians 4:32 NKJV
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

2 Timothy 2:24-25 NKJV
And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth

Galatians 6:1 NKJV
Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.

Prayer and Confession:

As God has shown me mercy, I demonstrate mercy through kindness in all my dealings. I show grace to people that have offended me, always remembering the grace the lord extends me by giving me ample time to repent. I am fair and generous even to people I don’t know. I model God’s love to strangers and show them kindness. My acts of kindness are expressed with gentleness. I do not condemn any of my fallen brethren, for I too have fallen. I restore with the same grace and gentleness with which the Lord has restored me.

Day 14: I am a minister of grace

Colossians 4:6 NKJV
Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

James 3:9-10 NKJV
With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

Isaiah 50:4 NKJV
The Lord GOD has given Me The tongue of the learned, That I should know how to speak A word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear To hear as the learned.

Prayer and Confession:

I am a minster of grace. My words encourage, expand and empower. A wellspring of life flows from my heart through my mouth to water the life of others. I speak no evil with my lips; grumbling back-biting and evil speaking are removed from my speech. All that hear me are empowered with the grace in my words.

Day 15: I have ears to hear

Isaiah 50:5 NKJV
The Lord GOD has opened My ear; And I was not rebellious, Nor did I turn away.

Psalm 62:11 NKJV
God has spoken once, Twice I have heard this: That power belongs to God.

John 10:27 NKJV
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Prayer and Meditation:

The Lord has opened my ears and I press into God. My ears are tuned to the frequency of heaven. I hear and I obey. I am His sheep I hear His voice and I obey. I am not moved by circumstances, for I have the counsel of heaven in all things.

Day 16: I submit to God's process

1 Peter 1:6-7 NKJV
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ

James 1:2-4 NKJV
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Luke 21:19 AMP
By your steadfastness and patient endurance you shall win the true life of your souls.

Prayer and Confession:

I submit to God's process in my life. I recognise that my loving Father is working in me from eternity for eternity. As a result, His fruit developed in me now expresses His glory in me for all eternity. I stand up against every tribulation of darkness designed to destroy me with the power of God's word. I stand my ground until I experience victory irrespective of how long it takes. I retain my joy in all things and welcome the opportunity for patience to run its full course. As a result I stand fully developed lacking nothing.

Day 17: I have the creative power of God in my tongue

Jeremiah 1:9 NKJV
Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me: "Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

Isaiah 51:16 NKJV
And I have put My words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, And say to Zion, 'You are My people.'"

Romans 10:6-8 NKJV
But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, "'Who will descend into the abyss?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach):

Prayer and Confession:

I plant heaven's will in the earth through the words of my mouth. The word of God in my mouth is as powerful as the Word of God in His mouth. So I speak those words with faith and boldness knowing that no word from God will return to Him void. The word that brings salvation, health, prosperity, protection for myself, my family and my nation is in my heart and my mouth.

Day 18: I embrace my prophetic heritage

John 5:19-20 NKJV
Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.

Isaiah 29:18-19 NKJV
In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, And the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness. The humble also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice In the Holy One of Israel.

1 Thessalonians 5:19-21 NLT
Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. Do not scoff at prophecies, but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good.

Prayer and Confession:

I follow the example of the Lord Jesus. His eyes were open to see the Father's purposes on a daily basis. The Father loves me as much as He loves Jesus. He therefore gives me eyes to see and ears to hear what He has prepared for me each day. I embrace my prophetic heritage. I will not cap the prophetic wells in my life. I deeply desire every manifestation of the Spirit, especially the gift of prophesy: the ability to see what God is doing and hear what God is saying. The Father gives me the desire of my heart. I find what I seek. I walk in fullness of joy because I am led by the Holy Spirit.

Day 19: I rule from above

John 3:13 NKJV
No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.

Colossians 3:1 NLT
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honour at God's right hand.

Ephesians 2:4-6 NKJV
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

Prayer and Confession:

Jesus operated in union with the Father and with third heaven authority, power and access while he was on earth. He operated in heaven and with heaven while He walked on the earth. When He was made alive in hell, I was made alive in Him. When He ascended to heaven, I ascended in Him. Where he is seated at the right hand of the Father, I am seated in Him. I operate in heaven while I walk on the earth. I am in union with the Father with third heaven authority, power and access while here on earth. I set my sights on the realities of heaven and rule from that place of honour in Christ.

Day 20: I run my race with joy to the applause of heaven

Psalm 131:1-3 NLT
LORD, my heart is not proud; my eyes are not haughty. I don't concern myself with matters too great or too awesome for me to grasp. Instead, I have calmed and quieted myself, like a weaned child who no longer cries for its mother's milk. Yes, like a weaned child is my soul within me. O Israel, put your hope in the LORD- now and always.

Isaiah 42:19 NKJV
Who is blind but My servant, Or deaf as My messenger whom I send? Who is blind as he who is perfect, And blind as the LORD's servant?

Isaiah 11:3 NKJV
His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;

Prayer and Confession:

I am adorned with the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit. My heart has reverence for the Lord in all things. I have been weaned from the appetites of babyhood: the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes and the pride of life. Even my flesh desires to know Him and to do his will. I am blind to the distractions of darkness. I am deaf to the applause of men and do not seek their honour. I live for the applause of heaven and the joy of my Father's heart. I am one spirit with the Lord and therefore I have my Father's heart in every situation and respond to Him. I run my race with joy.

Day 21: I Advance in God in 2017!

Isaiah 43:19 NLT
For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

Isaiah 58:8 NKJV
Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.

Isaiah 58:14 NKJV
...And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the LORD has spoken."

Prayer and Confession:

Father, I embrace the new in 2017. Thank you for a new depth in my intimacy with you. Thank you for deeper love in my family. Thank you for Kingdom life and purpose in the works of my hands. Thank you for covenant relationships that will cause me to soar in 2017. Thank you for an abundance of grace and the supply of the Spirit from your throne. I walk in the new! I ADVANCE in God in 2017!
